All Europe Taekwon-Do Federation would like to inform with great pleasure that the 35th Senior and 26th Junior European Taekwon-Do Championships will be held in a city of La Nucia in Spain from 20th to 25th April 2021. 

The AETF Members gave the rights to host the Euros 2021 to the Federacion Española De Taekwon-Do ITF (FEST) in the voting by email held from 22nd to 29 May 2020.

The first presentation of the city of La Nucia as the host of 2021 AETF European Championships took place during the AETF Congress 2019 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, where Mr. Paco Ferrando, FEST President and Mr. Vicente Ibáñez-Alfaro, the FEST Secretary introduced the idea of organizing the Euros 2021 in Spain. The final decision should have been taken by the AETF Congress 2020 in Bratislava, Slovakia during the Euros 2020, which were cancelled due to the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic worldwide. 

La Nucia is a city located in a fruit valley between Benidorm and Callosa d'En Sarrià, 3 km from the coast of Altea. The urban center is on a promontory overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, 51 km north of Alicante and 8 km north of Benidorm.

The Venue for the championships will be LA CIUDAD DEPORTIVA CAMILO CANO (https://www.ciudaddeportivacamilocano.com), European village of sport.
The Sports City Camilo Cano is one of the most modern sports complex and a sports tourism benchmark throughout  the national and international territory, as certified by the recent awards received: NATIONAL SPORT AWARD, awarded by the High Sport Council of Spain, and EUROPEAN TOWN OF SPORT granted by Aces Europe. A total of 66 sports facilities in 120,000 m2.

The experience of the Federacion Española De Taekwon-Do ITF (FEST) as the organizers of the event of such a high level competion is their advantage. The European taekwon-do community has already visited the competitions in Spain many times: European Championships 2001 in Villajoyosa, World Cup 2006 in Benidorm, European Championships 2009 in Benidorm, Span, World Championship 2013 in Benidorm and many other open tournaments held in Spain on a regular basis.

The Organizing Committee of the Euros 2021 has already started the preparation for the event. The official website of the championships will be launched soon. More precise information about the hotels will follow shortly. 

We wish the organizers good luck and we hope that the constant difficulties caused by Covid-19 will not affect the course of preparation and we believe that we all meet togheter in Spain in April next year.
