Master Gilberto Ruzza, aged 62, passed away on August 11, 2021 after three years struggle against cancer.He was a true martal artist, a silent warrior, humble and solid, a real Taekwon-Do passionate, member of FITAE-ITF from the very beginning. He was active as competitor and later always traveled with his students to attend competitions, courses and stages.Never upfront, but always present and active in the Italian Federation, he has been a pillar for the Taekwon-Do movement especially in his region.Master Ruzza lived near Venice and founded a pioneer school forming many black belts and instructors very active in Veneto region.

Already in a wheelchair, he had the strength to prepare two of his students for their VII and VI degree examination held in Tuscany on June 26, 2021.

As a true Master, accompanied by his sweet and strong wife, he surprised all of us deciding to attend the examination and to assist his students.

What a pleasure to see him again!We all greated him with deep joy and gratitude and celebrated his return with great affection and respect.*

He took part in the celebrations for the newly promoted members, sharef the gala lunch on a beach terrace, enjoyed the fantastic day and the delightful sunshine and the joyful company

Now we know that it was his last farewell.

Resilient, perseverant, the Italian Taekwon-Do Federation pay deep respect to Master Gilberto Ruzza and to his indomitable spirit, eternal example for all of us.

As Italian Taekwondoist we are honoured and grateful for having received his life witness and teachings.

His funeral will take place in Mestre (Venice) on August 16, 2021 ?
