More than 900 competitors from 27 counties took part in the IX European Taekwon-Do Cup for Seniors and Juniors and International Mightyfist Cup for Cadets and Children, which was held from 25th to 28th October 2018 in Sibiu, Romania.
On behalf of the AETF Board of Directors I would like to thank very much to the AETF Tournament and Umpire Committee consisted of: Master Alexander Dunbar, Master James Tjin-A-Ton and Mr. Attila Solti and all umpires present in Sibiu, for their tremendous work in extreme conditions (massive number of competitors) during the whole competition. It is great to have such people in our organization.
Special words of gratitude goes to the Organizers Mr. Cosmin Oprescu, the President and Mr. Ciprian Banea, the Vice-President of Romania ITF Taekwon-Do Federation, to the whole Organizing Committee, for their hospitality and hard work as well as for all sponsors, supporters and volunteers who made their contribution in preparation and execution of this European Cup.
We would like to give a special note of thanks to Mrs. Orsolya and Mr. Norbert Érseki, the TKD Reporters, for their efforts and commitment in documentation and for their spectacular photos of the whole championships.

By now the AETF Board of Directors has received the offer form the All Russia Taekwon-Do Federation to host the 10th European Cup 2018 in the term 6-9 of June 2019 in Sochi, Russia.
The novelty of the 10th edition will be the fact that in the year of the World Championships the Eurepean Cup will be open for countries from outside of Europe.

The event will be held in Tampere on the 9th March 2019 and will include sparring and pattern categories with a pool system, to allow the maximum rounds for competitors. The World Championships being held in late April, this is a great opportunity for your teams to add an extra event to their preparation before the championships.
